Jean Piaget was fascinated with the child’s mind. This idea first came about while he was administering intelligence tests and noticed that children of a similar age made similar mistakes. He realized that children developed in stages as they matured. His theory of cognitive development includes three main pillars, schemas, the four concepts that allow us to move between stages, and the four stages of cognitive development.
